Patrick Lemmens

Patrick Lemmens is a serial entrepreneur with close to 40 years’ experience in engineering, banking, IT, and investment. A long-time friend and associate of Michael Brands, he brought that huge experience to Consono as a multi-sector business advisor in 2021. Born in 1956, in the early 1980s he gained master’s degrees in engineering and business economics at the University of Leuven. Having started out as a design engineer at LAG Manufacturing, he joined the Fortis Bank group, first as an account manager for large industrial accounts, then as a junior investment manager at the company's private equity arm, VIV.

In 1988 he co-founded Antwerp-based IT company General Control Applications developing software for the petrochemical industry. The company was sold in 1992 to Dutch IT company Bellt.

From 1992 to 2001, Patrick was on the board at Jambers Television Production before its sale to Dutch venture-backed broadcaster Eyeworks. He became a senior managing partner with StoneFund, the venture capital fund of the Colruyt family, where he held several board seats across Europe and the USA, investing in start-up and early growth companies.

Patrick founded Luxembourg venture capital fund Panta REI in 2010 to provide co-investment into residential building projects in Belgium, before selling the business to his business partner in 2020.
